A Texas Myth Pipeline
The anxiety behind this is the fear of people losing what is close to them, their home. The environmental issue documentary that I watched was A Texas Myth. The main run down of it is that the government has found oil and natural gases on this ancient burial land however, tribes and a few other people still live on this land. These people call themselves the “Two Rivers Camp” and they are trying to protest the government who is trying to create this pipeline through this ancient land. One of the problems with this is that this pipeline could potentially lead to them poisoning the water making the water undrinkable. Another problem that occurred during this was all the light pollution. In the documentary one of the leaders from the camp talked about how you could see the Milky Way and how no matter where you put your finger you would always cover up a star. However, now that there are these construction zones you can hold up two fists and cover no stars, that is how much light pollution there was.

The logos of it was that the people protesting where trying to get the construction workers to stop destroying their land. These people knew that the government would poison the water in Texas which would eventually start killing people. They also did not want them to dig up the land because that is where their ancestors were buried and where all their history lies. The pathos of it was that there was a lot of anger and sadness. The anger part of it was because of the destruction of the land. The sadness part of it was that a lot of the protesters were arrested and were charged with trespassing and other things. The ethos of it was the protesters did look at both sides of what was happening, but they were more entitled to what they were fighting for. They saw that the government wanted the oil to advance society but they also knew if they did that then they would mess up the land.
